Common Plumbing Problems in Plano Homes
Plano is really two different cities when it comes to plumbing. East of Highway 75, most homes were built in the 60s-80s – that means cast iron drain lines, original galvanized pipes in some houses, and shut-off valves that haven’t been touched in decades. The most common calls I get from east Plano: sewer line backups from root intrusion, slab leaks on aging copper lines, and gate valves that snap the first time someone tries to turn them.
West Plano and the Legacy area are newer, but “newer” doesn’t mean problem-free. Homes from the 90s and 2000s are hitting the age where the original water heater is on its second replacement and the PRV (pressure reducing valve) has quietly failed – if your pressure feels too strong or your relief valve keeps dripping, that’s usually the PRV.
I’ve worked on both sides of town for years, so when you describe the problem on the phone, I usually know what we’re walking into before we arrive – and the truck is stocked for it.

We do nights and weekends. Just note there’s an extra fee outside standard hours it keeps us ready when others are closed.
What Plano homeowners say about FPP Plumbing

Deborah Allen , Plano TX, homeowner
Water heater replacement in Plano was not something I wanted to deal with that week, but our old one started leaking and had to go. FPP Plumbing made it pretty painless. Denys and Nick explained what was going on, replaced the water heater, handled the permit, and the city inspection passed without any issues. Honestly, way smoother than I expected.

Jim Henderson ,. Plano TX, homeowner
A++++ recommendation!!! FPP Plumbing (Fixing Plumbing Problems), promptly responded to my plumbing emergency. On a Sunday evening, my home outside faucet busted and began gushing water into my yard. I called a number of emergency rated plumbers I found online, but Denys from FPP Plumbing, was the ONLY PLUMBER AVAILABLE TO RESPOND. He was upfront about the emergency hours charge, and showed up in a manner of minutes. He was able to quickly resolve the issue and replace the older faucet with a quality new one. He was very polite and professional with great communication, plus provided advice and safeguards on preventing this from happening again in the future. I’m saving his number in my phone should I ever have another plumbing issue.

Paul Key,. Plano TX, homeowner
Had a broken faucet in upstairs bedroom that caused water to leak below into kitchen when the shower was being used. Contacted FPP and they had one of their guys over within an hour. Denys evaluated the situation and proposed a reasonable price to do the repairs. He was careful to avoid damaging the tile work, coming in through the side. I decided to have him also repair another upstairs shower that constantly clogged up, reducing water flow. We decided to go ahead and change out all of the faucets at the same time, and Denys went and made all of the purchases, including obtaining a fan to dry out the cavity where the water leaked. Denys did a great job, and stayed until pretty late in the afternoon to finish it and do it right. He provided me the receipt for the purchases, so that I would have it for any warranty claim, if necessary, as he recommended Moen faucets because they have lifetime warranties. Very happy with the work and price, and I’d recommend FPP, which stands for “Fix Plumbing Problems,” I learned. Services: Plumbing pipe repair, Faucet repair, Faucet installation, Shower repair, Plumbing leak repair
